As a member of Obama's climate team, Hill led the creation of national policy regarding catastrophic risk, including the impacts of climate change. Hill previously served as Senior Counselor to the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, as an ex-officio member of the Third National Climate Assessment, a supervising judge in California, and as chief of the white-collar crime unit in the Los Angeles US Attorney's Office. Leonardo Martinez-Diaz is Director of the Sustainable Finance Center at the World Resources Institute, where he leads the Center's work to help drive finance into activities that promote sustainability and combat climate change. During the Obama Administration, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy and Environment at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, representing the United States in international climate negotiations and multilateral bodies.
